Private Lessons: Learn to Love Your Camera and Photography

You’re holding and staring at your digital camera and don't know the ins and outs of it, let alone all those buttons. I was there once, too. If that isn't daunting enough, the user's manual is thick and intimidating. Well, you've come to the right place.

I am excited to announce that I now offer private or small-group instruction for the beginning photographer. After over twelve years of experience, I feel it's time to share what I have learned with budding photographers. My course will cover content designed to inspire and improve your digital photography skills and teach you what is needed to create a quality photograph that you will be proud of.

You will learn about:

The Basics of Digital Photography: including the capabilities of your personal DSLR, what the terminology means and how to save your files on to your computer

Your Camera: including its basic functions and how to easily access what you need when you need it

Lenses: including how to select the right lens and how to use them

Your Subject: including how to approach portraits, landscape, etc…

The Exposure Triangle: making sense of the relationship between aperture (f/stops), shutter speeds and ISO

Composition: including rule of thirds, horizon lines, leading lines, traditional rules and when to break them

Using Available Light: photographing with ambient and in low light

Basic Editing: including how to choose your best images and how to use cheap, easy and intuitive online software to edit and create your own masterpieces

And more!!!

So how does it work? Simple. Reach out to me to discuss where you are as a photographer and what your goals are. I will customize a practical syllabus and work with you to schedule lessons that run at your pace.

One-hour lessons (minimum of three) are $60 and your first lesson is 50% off – just $30!

Payment is accepted in cash or by Venmo.
